Bonanza Megaways slot review
Bonanza Megaways, often listed simply as Bonanza, is a gold-mining video slot from Big Time Gaming, released in December 2016. It uses Big Time Gaming’s Megaways mechanic, which changes the number of symbols on each reel with every spin, giving up to 117,649 ways to win. Cascading reels and a free spins multiplier with no upper limit give it a very high top prize.

How to play Bonanza Megaways
- Open the game and choose your stake with the + and − buttons.
- Press Spin. Each reel shows between two and seven symbols, so the number of ways to win changes from spin to spin.
- Land matching symbols on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel, to create a win. Winning symbols disappear and new ones drop in.
- Spell out G, O, L and D with the scatter symbols to trigger free spins.
- Set a budget and a time limit before you start, and take regular breaks.
Bonus features
Megaways and the extra reel
Each of the six main reels shows between two and seven symbols. A horizontal extra reel sits above reels 2 to 5 and adds one symbol to each of those reels, giving up to 117,649 ways to win.
Reactions
After every win, the winning symbols are removed and new symbols fall into their place. This continues for as long as new wins form, so one paid spin can produce several wins in a row.
Dynamite wild
The dynamite wild appears only on the extra reel and substitutes for all paying symbols, but not for scatters.
Free spins
Landing all four GOLD scatters awards 12 free spins, and each extra scatter adds five more. During the round, gold bar scatters on the extra reel add more spins: three give five extra spins and four give 10.
Unlimited multiplier
In free spins, the win multiplier starts at 1x and rises by 1 after every reaction. There is no upper limit, and the multiplier carries over when more spins are added.
